Holi Hai, a Hindu festival, is celebrated across the Portland area each year. To welcome spring, participants get saturated head-to-toe in bright powdered colors, dance their tails off, and smile and laugh for hours.

It can be tricky to photograph, because so much powdery dust hangs in the air — and it seeps into every nook and cranny of your camera gear. Still, totally worth it.
